Law Society launches community information campaign on green slip changes
The Law Society of NSW has launched “Fifty bucks off your green slip. A lifetime on welfare” a community information campaign highlighting the negative impacts of proposed changes to CTP insurance.
You need to be aware that:
- Under the proposed new “no fault” scheme there will be more claims, higher administration costs and a lot less money for all.
- The only way the government can come even close to balancing the books is by cutting your compensation.
- Unless you meet their new threshold, the government plans to stop paying compensation five years after your accident – even if you can’t work and have medical bills to pay.
- It’s hardly worth the $50 saved on your green slip.
